|Grant Aliments du Québec Access to Your Product Catalogue in ECCnet Registry
April 18,2007 – Aliments du Québec is pleased to announce the integration of ECCnet Registry, Canada’s national product registry, into their business processes in order to achieve data synchronization with their member community. As a valued member of Aliments du Québec, please ensure that you grant Aliments du Québec access to your product catalogue by April 27, 2007.
Since Fall 2006, your organization has been benefiting from a project carried out jointly by Aliments du Québec and GS1 Canada that identifies the origin of products certified as “Aliments du Québec” and/or “Aliments préparés au Québec” in your product catalogue. These certifications identify products originating entirely from Québec or whose main ingredients are of Québec origin. This initiative aims to enable Québec retailers to order products that meet the “Originated from Québec” standards. In addition, this project enables Québec retailers to access information about the annual sales of products sold in their stores that have been certified “Aliments du Québec” and/or “Aliments préparés au Québec”, as requested by the Ministère de l’agriculture, des pêcheries et de l’alimentation du Québec (MAPAQ).
Aliments du Québec joins market-leading distributors, retailers and vendors in utilizing ECCnet Registry.
