ECCnet Image & Validation:

Members of GS1 Canada have one–stop access to product images and dimensional data through GS1 Canada's ECCnet Image & Validation (I&V) services. These services can be used to:

ECCnet I&V services is a single source for organizations to access accurate, standardized marketing images, planogram images, and dimensional data of products they manufacture, distribute and/or sell. With the goal of increasing product sales, ECCNet I&V services streamline business processes by maximizing retailer shelf space and enhancing member marketing and promotional strategies. Benefits include:

  • One-stop-shop: single source for sharing accurate, up-to-date product data and images for access by multiple trading partners.
  • Speed to market: maximize retail shelf space for presentation of your product, driving sales.
  • Cost effective: Cost savings as a result of service bundles and pricing based on cost recovery.

As a not-for-profit organization, GS1 Canada operates ECCnet I&V on a cost-recovery basis. A Planogram Committee consisting of a cross-section of manufacturers and retailers from across Canada assist GS1 Canada in resolving technical issues related to I&V services, including the image capture process. GS1 Canada's ongoing consultation with industry ensures that our solutions and our services continue to benefit our member community.
