Summerhill won as a result of their commitment to a company rebrand that included a tailored social media strategy and eCommerce presence.
Recognizing the need to modernize their brand and reach an untapped, younger customer base, Summerhill Market focused on a developing a new brand strategy that merged their bricks-and-mortar location with their digital platforms.
Summerhill’s online approach included a dedicated Instagram presence and regular blog posts, focusing on discussing on-trend food items and providing creative, simple food solutions using products that can be found in-store.
Summerhill Market decided early on that their social media presence would focus on quality, not quantity. So, while gaining followers was important, developing shareable content that resonated with their followers was more valuable.
This effort paid off as Summerhill Market saw not only long-time in-person customers participating in online discussions, but also first-time viewers being drawn to their platforms with the help of creative hashtags, like #FoodieFriday.
